3 Titans Feat. Menahan Street Band, College

youtube's description:
The 3 Titans, Khalil Jackson, Jorden Plaines, and Dallas Ifill, are rhythmically gifted fifth-graders with their sights set on higher education. On their debut 7 for Dunham Records, C-O-L-L-E-G-E b/w Life of a Scholar, the precocious eleven-year-olds trade rhymes about the benefits of going to college and the determination it takes to get there over two sides of old-school, hard-as-nails (and refreshingly sample-free) beats provided by the notorious Menahan Street Band.

Amen to these little boys! I am going to be a college graduate!! next year!! (i hope..haha)

45rpm Single and .mp3 coming out February 16th.

Car days...

i miss having a car, i miss car culture, i miss having car friends, i miss cars... boo whoo.

Make a difference and help Uganda!

Help Project FOCUS prove that an online community can gather enough support to provide the internet to a rural community in Uganda without it. Make this video viral... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVVPOEENYss

Spread the internet love. Make an investment. Repeat.

Project FOCUS is partnering with local organizations in rural Southwest Uganda to launch an Internet Cafe, providing access to information and communication previously unavailable to residents of the region. The Cafe will also provide technology skills training, a revenue source for a local community-run primary school, and allocate space and tools for the production of creative multi-media projects. Web access provides communities with the opportunity to improve social welfare, and claim their voice in the global conversation on strategies for rural development. With this service, the local populace will benefit from direct links to job, educational, weather, and health information, as well as more efficient markets for produce and products.

Calumet Fisheries

probably about a year or so ago, i was bored one day and decided to drive south. mainly it was to look for a different drift spots. Since i've been told there aren't as many cops on the southside, and i know there are plenty of vacant areas, i thought it was probably a good place to drift. so i took some familiar routes, then some not so familiar routes. driving towards the river on 95th and seeing the pretty lights from the skyway, i saw a little shack. a little shack that sold smoked fish. i thought it sounded good and i've been wanting to try it since.

after seeing the little shack on anthony bourdain's show, no reservations chicago's edition, i finally got some calumet fisheries, must i say this place is delicious. I recommend chub, pepper garlic smoked salmon, and breaded scallop.

i really love chub. as a kid, it always reminded me of yogi bear...

RIP Teddy Pendergrass

Soulful singer Teddy Pendergrass died yesterday from complications of colon cancer at the age of 59. For some that don't know him, Pharcyde mixed his beats from "Love TKO" onto "Back in the Day".

20 years ago from today, MC Hammer's 'U Can't Touch This' became a hit signature song. I still remember the Hammer Man cartoon, even though it only lasted one season...
