The Hassie

this week i got spring break going on. i feel like i've got more work to do than when i am working and going to school. well anywho, i got some photos processed and scanned. below is of a bridge i always see up around the neighborhood. photo taken on 18th street at the baseball field with my new toy, the hasselblad 500c/m on portra 400nc film.

living in this country, where there is a range of the narrowest minded people to the broadest (well maybe not the broadest from what i've seen, but broad enough), sometimes i wonder where do i really stand. i know this is just a silly online test and doesn't give me the big picture, but at least its an estimate...

The Rawest Feeling.

from near death to complete bliss and everything in between is how i felt since wednesday. i love my mom and i'm confused by my dad. my sister is my everything, and of course no matter who is in what condition, the world will keep spinning.

griff isn't blood family, but i did take a pretty picture of him on my hasselblad, and it's looking good to my taste. pretty pictures always eases up a day.

Portrait Project

due this week for class, i have a portrait project. where i take photos of people i don't know and people i do know. well because i am a bit chicken shit i didn't take photos of people i know, but more of people i hardly knew. anywho, only good shots i got where from people i knew. Alex and Jesse.




both taken on a Nikon FM10 using Kodak Portra 400nc film on Kodak's supra endura surface n photo paper and scanned with my espon v500.

David Ruffin

david ruffin was the lead singer in the temptations in 1964 until his drug addiction and fame got to him, then got kicked out in 1968. he knew he had a beautiful voice, and most certain does.

most folks will remember him best singing songs like my girl and ain't too proud to beg.

Hypocrisy

i maybe one of the biggest hypocrites because i tend to say things like, "i hate people," "i hate the privileged," "i hate ignorant mother fuckers," and "i just hate." in reality, i really do, but my actions do speak differently. this maybe weird, or not, but i actually enjoy helping others when they are in need, and only if i feel they deserve the help even if they are ignorant (i know i can be sometimes) and privileged(and i can be in someways).

a martial arts sister sent me this quote that sorta explains it:
