even though i am 22 (almost 23), i still enjoy playing in the playground. these days it's all pvc and plastic coated monkeybars, i sorta miss the metal smelling/pinched/splintered hands i get after playing in the park.



all of that reminded me when i was just a kid playing on these weird metal sculpture. once i was doing some flips and i broke my jade necklace, damn was my dad pisted! HA!

This Weekend

i had a realization again this weekend. i really don't like people. besides for those who truly understand me, the rest of them are just there for pure entertainment.

i now see why people have kids (besides to procreate), it's so they can TRY to mold that child that they have into someone that can really relates to them (because everyone is selfish and always thinks about only themselves). but it usually doesn't work because they expose that child into an open world that will fill their minds with odds and ends which causes them to think outside of their box, and to question their guide. and that is when parents start to disprize their child and try really really hard to mold them back into place, but it is too late. those children become the annoyingly irritating young and even old adults that i deal with today.

last night i went to the green mill by myself. i was suppose to meet a friend there, but as usual this guy didn't get my texts or calls until about three hours after i got to gm. at least i got to meet bob, a lovely mumbling 73 year old man.

oh yes! I learn that big al has been playing the accordion since he was 5! this man is awesome! fucckk! i wish i didn't miss his bbq.. :(

this past weekend i went out east to visit kristine in royal oak/detroit michigan for her birthday. we went out partying and what not, but that part was a bit of a blur. i got to see this awesome studio where photo shoots happens, make me jealous!

well i got some film and digital photography going on...




i would like to thank kristine again for driving me EVERYWHERE just to take pictures. she is such a sweetheart!

last night i went over to bob's tattoo shop, insight studios, to get my tattoo finished by ryan. i must say this guy is talented. he gave my tattoo a totally different feel. even though it wasn't finished when i came in the first place, but it was nearly done. he retouched and added a more realistic feel on my piece. i am soooo grateful for this man.

Robert Taylor's Neighborhood

along chicago's east-side between 39th and 54th are the robert taylor homes. project homes that are funded by the government for those who have low-income. folks that use to live in these homes probably paid about 50 bucks, maybe less, depending on financial rises. well these home have been torn down or getting torn down since 2007.

little facts of the robert taylor homes, they once were known to be the largest housing project in the world in 1962 at a 2 mile stretch that had a peak of 27,000 residents. of the 27,000 residents celebrities that were housed there are mr. t, kirby puckett, and massachusetts governor deval patrick.

for a photo assignment i had, we were suppose to take pictures of human absence or human intimacy. being unsocial as i am, i choose human absence and had carneyville/bronzeville (which is the neighborhood the robert taylor homes were located) as location of human absence. both neighborhood has a high amount of abandon homes, factories, and storefronts, so i thought it would be appropriate.

and one enlargement i got...

this photo was taken over by perishing and stewart. not too sure if this was a part of a factory, but i believe across the street was a public school. i could be wrong.
